Why does Bundlo use PayPal?
PayPal is as simple and secure as they come. It's one of the trusted leaders in online payment processors with ove 100 million accounts worldwide. Using PayPal allows us to only store the information we need to handle your account while they take care of handiling your senstive financial information. You don't even have to have a PayPal account to use Bundlo.

They accept all major credit cards as well as debit cards. And they accept payments from all over the world and take care of processing multi-currency transactions. Simply put, they make it safe and easy for both, you and us.
Can I give Bundlo as a gift?
Although, there are plans for this in the future, it's not something that Bundlo currently offers.
*There's work around with PayPal where this is doable, but it is not something we recommend. It’s done by setting up and funding a PayPal account and then transferring it (and the Bundlo account) over to the recipient. It’s a lot of shuffling and fussing about, but it can be done.
Why was my account downgraded?
PayPal may cancel your subscription with us when you make a change to your funding source. It can be very frustrating, but we’ve added in a 2 day grace period to compensate for this. So if you go to the Account page of your admin and re-upgrade in the next 2 days, your site will be completely unaffected.
Just to be sure, it’s a good idea to download an archive of your site before making any changes to your PayPal settings.

Sign in to your admin site (http://
YourSiteHere.bundlo.com/admin), click on the “Account” tab and click “Site Preferences” in the first section.

How do I cancel my account?
You can cancel your account at any time by selecting the “Account” tab on your admin site (http://
YourSiteHere.bundlo.com/admin) and scrolling to the bottom of the page. Then check the box that reads “I understand that deleting my account is irreversible” and click the “Please cancel my account” link. There is no undo if you cancel your account—all your data will be deleted and can not be restored. Please look into downloading an archive of your site to your computer before canceling your account.

Can I try Bundlo before I buy it?
Yep!
Just sign up for the free account! There's no time limit and no obligation to buy later—there's no strings attached.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
Absolutely. We’ve tried to make this as simple as possible. Select the “Account” tab on your admin site (http://
YourSiteHere.bundlo.com/admin) and you'll find your options right there.
Upgrading is really easy as you are gaining features, but downgrading can be tricky if you downgrade to a plan that has less features than your current plan. Downgrading may delete content or customization options that your current plan offers. If content has to be deleted to accommodate the plan change, it will delete the oldest content first and move forwards. Please look into downloading an archive of your site to your computer before downgrading your plan.
Upgrades and downgrades go into effect immediately upon your updating your PayPal subscription so you don’t have to wait around till your next billing cycle to move up or down a level. However, the new monthly rate will be billed starting on your next billing cycle.
Do you offer a refund for unused time?
The short answer is no. But that seems mean spirited and doesn’t tell the whole story. See our
Refund Policy for more information on this matter.
How do I update my credit card information?
All of your billing information is administered by Paypal.
Sign in to your Paypal account to update your credit card information. However, once you change your billing information with PayPal, keep an eye on your account and make sure it doesn't
accidently get downgraded.^ Back to Top ^
Can I pick which charity my money goes towards?
Yes. 10% of the monthly subscription costs for paying accounts go to charity. The charities we choose to offer donations to are all child focused organizations that we feel are making strides in bettering the lives of children. They include:
St. Jude Children's Hospital for Children
Make a Wish Foundation® of America
Shriners Hospital for Children
National Center for Missing & Exploited Children
Operation Smile
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International
You can choose which of these charities you would like your portion of the monthly donation to go towards. Sign in to your admin site (http://YourSiteHere.bundlo.com/admin), click on the “Account” tab and click “Change Charity” in the first section.
At this time, we do not allow account owners to specify a charity outside the ones listed above. We may change or add charities in the future. If you have a suggestion for a charity that should be on the list, let us know.
*The 10% of all monthly subscription costs that go to charity is calculated immediately after the Credit Card and PayPal processing fees. Bundlo is making this collected donation on it’s behalf and not from an individual account basis. The charitable contribution is accumulated and made yearly.

Where is Bundlo hosted?
Bundlo is hosted through
Rails Machine. Each server is hardened and firewalled with CentOS 4 Enterprise Linux systems in a tier 1 data center with premium bandwidth. And they boast a 99.9% uptime SLA. In short, we've been very pleased with them and they continue to provide us top notch hosting solutions.

How are the Bundlo servers monitored?

Rails Machine. Thier data center is staffed 24/7 with technicians to handle hardware or network failures.
How is my data backed up?
Each server is wired with a 4-8 disk Raid 10 storage system. This means your site is backed up at least 4 times on separate drives in case of a catostrophic loss at the data center. So yes, you're data is in good hands.

How does this compare to hosting on my own?
If you were to host your own site, you would be in charge of issues around network and server redundancy, co-location versus shared hosting, data backup, and server monitoring. Some providers might provide you with a few of these services, but not many would provide you with all of them. This, of course, doesn't even begin to address issues related to your website design, construction and management—all of which are completely handled by Bundlo.
This is exactly why Bundlo was built—to make it easy. Bundlo will save you weeks of time and headache. And on top of that, we will provide you with a website that is handled by a simple-to-use, custom content management solution. Getting your account set-up is simple and will probably only take you a few seconds.

Can I put videos on my site?
You can embed videos into your blog posts via any number of online video providers. Our personal favorite is
Vimeo. They offer password protection for individual videos, which provides peace of mind you can't find on most other video sites. We're actively looking at options for adding a custom video option in the future.

What are email alerts?
Visitors to your site can choose whether or not they want to receive email alerts when new content has been added to your site. The system checks twice a day and sends out a virtual heads-up if a blog entry has been made, photos have been uploaded, or a babybook event has been created. This way, visitors don’t have to keep checking every few hours to see if anything new has shown up. They can just sit back and wait for an alert to arrive in their email inbox and then check out the site whenever it’s convenient for them.

How do invites work?
By default, your Bundlo website is initially set to be private. This means only those with a username (their email) and password can view your site. To send invitations sign in to your admin site (http://
YourSiteHere.bundlo.com/admin) and click on the “Send Out Invites” button. Then simply input the email of those people you want to have access to your site. You can invite more than one person at a time by separating their emails with a comma.

You can change the privacy settings and make it open to the public at anytime.

Can I keep my Bundlo site even if cancel my account?
You can keep your site forever by downloading an archive. Upgraded account holders can do this by following these instructions: Sign in to your admin site (http://
YourSiteHere.bundlo.com/admin), click on the “Account” tab and scroll down until you see the “Download Now” link and follow the directions.
If you are on the Free plan and you want to download and archive your site, simply upgrade your account to a paying plan. Once you've upgraded, follow the directions above. You can then downgrade your account back to the Free plan, or continue to use and enjoy the new features your upgraded plan offers. You’ll be billed for the full month of usage when you upgrade (see our Refund Policy for details) so you should stick around for a while and see how you like it!
When you click the “Download Now” button it will place all of your content into a ZIP file and download it to your computer. Depending on the amount of content you have in your account (photos, blogs, comments, etc.) and the connection speed you have to the internet (cable, dial-up, T1, etc.) the process could potentially take a while to complete. Please be patient.
Only content hosted on your Bundlo account via our servers will be collected and downloaded. External linked content, such as videos or photos hosted by other sites, will not be collected in the download.

How do visitors display their picture?
Once someone logs in to your site, they can change their user preferences by clicking the “My Preferences” link just under their name on the site.
Visitors that are signed in, have the ability to customize their display name and upload photos of themselves. So the proud uncle can set his display name to read “Uncle Jim” instead of his email address (default), as well as upload his picture. This makes the site far more interactive and visually enhanced when leaving comments and browsing the site since you don’t just read who’s been active, you get to see them too!

How do I use my own custom domain?
A custom domain allows premium account holders to basically change the URL of their site to just about anything instead of the default set-up (
YourSiteHere.bundlo.com). There are 3 steps to getting your custom domain up and running.
Step 1
First, you have to purchase a domain name. There are tons of companies out there (example: GoDaddy) that can set you up. Just be sure that whoever you use, they offer complete DNS management.
Note: URL forwarding is not the same and can cause problems for you down the road, so make sure your registrar offers it’s clients complete DNS control.
Step 2
Next, you have to create a CNAME record pointing your domain to bundlo.com. This is something your domain registrar or hosting provider can help you with.
Note: If you’d like to use both yourdomain.com and www.yourdomain.com, then you’ll need to add CNAME records for both and enter either one in your Bundlo admin as described in step 3.
Step 3
Sign in to your admin site (http://YourSiteHere.bundlo.com/admin), click on the “Account” tab and click “Site Preferences” in the first section. Go to the Custom Domain section and add your new domain URL. Be sure to use lowercase letters and no spaces!
You’re all set! Now you just have to give it some time (about 24-48 hours) for all of the new settings to propagate through the internet. If it’s still not working after a few days, you should contact your domain registrar to help you figure out what’s not working.

> Click the “Security” tab
> Click “Trusted sites” (check mark icon)
> Click the “Sites” button
> Under “Add this website to the zone:” type http://YourSiteHere.bundlo.com
> Uncheck the box at the bottom that says “Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone” so that it is not selected.
> Click the “Add” button
> Click “Close”
> Go back to your site and you should be all set.
